One road north, and you are here
County Road 21 becomes Eagle Creek Avenue and runs from the middle of Prior Lake to within sight of our door — no freeway, no merge, no reason to plan around rush hour. From Lakefront Park it is a nine-minute run; from The Wilds or the Mystic Lake side of town, closer to fourteen. Cars that are still drivable make the trip easily even with a taped-up bumper.
Because Prior Lake has no body shop within its own borders, that short drive is the difference between a local shop and a corporate one further out. The trade is worth understanding: here the estimate, the repair plan, and the final inspection all belong to one owner-operator instead of to a rotating schedule. Ten minutes each way is a small price for knowing whose hands are actually on the car.
Lake-town damage has its own pattern
The repairs that come out of Prior Lake tend to cluster by season. Summer brings trailer damage — hitch dents in tailgates, scraped rockers from launch ramps, and rear quarters caught by a boat that swung wider than the driver expected. Autumn brings deer, usually on the darker stretches of CR 21 and the roads out toward the county line. Trailer damage is the easiest to underrate: a hitch strike concentrates everything into one small area, which is how a tailgate ends up needing structural work rather than a dent pulled.
Winter is the ice list: slid-through-the-intersection front corners and door skins creased on snowbanks. None of these are unusual, and none of them get guessed at. Bumper covers and liners come off first so the estimate covers the crushed absorber or bent bracket behind the panel rather than only the scuff you can see. On a vehicle that already carries a few seasons of trailer wear, separating old damage from new matters to the claim as much as to the repair.
The claim runs from our office, not your kitchen table
Send three photos from home and a written estimate comes back within 24 hours. If that turns into a claim, we open it, talk to the adjuster directly, and file supplements when teardown turns up damage the original number did not cover. You are not the middleman in your own repair. Updates come from the person doing the work rather than from a status line you have to chase.
Every insurance company is accepted — State Farm, Progressive, American Family, GEICO, USAA and the rest — and the shop choice is legally yours regardless of which one you carry. If the car cannot make the drive up Eagle Creek Avenue, call and we will arrange the tow from wherever it sits. The shop runs Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 11 PM, with Sundays by appointment when the weekend is your only window.
