Lease returns and company cars
Eden Prairie runs on corporate campuses, and corporate campuses run on leased vehicles. A scuffed bumper on a car you own is an annoyance; on a car you hand back it becomes a line on an inspection report with a number attached that you did not get to negotiate. Fixing it properly beforehand is usually the cheaper path, and it needs to be documented work rather than a quick blend. The charge lands after the vehicle is gone, which is the worst time to start disputing what the damage was.
US 169 south across the Minnesota River puts Eden Prairie Center about twenty minutes from our shop on Highway 13. Every job here is photographed at intake, during teardown, and at completion, so there is a record of what was done and how. That record is useful at a lease inspection, and it is the same record we would send an insurance company. If the lease company asks what was done, you have the photographs rather than a receipt line.
What repairs, and what does not
A plastic cover is more repairable than most people assume. Scuffs and scrapes sand and refinish. Gouges fill and level. A short crack in a flexible section can be repaired from behind and finished from the front so it does not return. What does not repair well is a tear that runs to an edge, a crushed mounting tab, or a broken sensor opening. Where the cover flexes matters more than how long the crack looks from outside.
The distinction matters because a patched cover that fails later costs more than doing it right once. We look with the bumper off, price both routes on the same estimate, and recommend the one that restores the part rather than the one that inflates the invoice. If the cheaper answer is the correct answer, that is the one you will hear. Company vehicles get the same treatment as personal ones; nothing about the estimate changes.

A factory cover fits the fender gaps, holds the sensors at their designed angles, and takes paint the way the original did — which matters more on a lease return or a company vehicle than on almost anything else, because panel gaps are the first thing anyone notices walking around a car. A cover sitting a few millimeters proud of the fender is exactly what an inspector writes down.
Installation carries a lifetime warranty, and so does the refinish.
