County Road 42 runs unbroken from the Steeple Center area west through Apple Valley and Burnsville to Savage — twenty-six to thirty-two minutes with no turns worth mentioning. Rosemount has no collision shop of its own, so half an hour is roughly the cost of any real option. The difference is what happens before you make the trip; we would rather do the paperwork by phone than by parking lot. A first trip that ends in a five-minute estimate is half an hour of your day we would rather not take.
Most Rosemount customers see the shop exactly twice: once to drop off and once to collect the car. Everything before the drop-off — estimate, photos, parts ordering, insurance approval — is handled remotely, so the vehicle is not sitting here waiting on a box while you are without it. Evening drop-offs work, since we are open until 11 PM Monday through Saturday.
The color work starts before your car arrives
Photograph the sticker in your driver’s door jamb along with the damage, and the paint code goes into the system the same day. That gives us the starting formula and, just as usefully, tells us whether the color is a straightforward solid, a metallic, or a three-stage pearl that will need more cards and more blend area. The estimate reflects that difference honestly instead of discovering it later. Pearls and tri-coats also change what the booth time looks like, which is far easier to plan in advance.
What cannot be done in advance is the final verification, because that has to happen against your actual panel. When the car arrives, the color is measured off the vehicle, tinted, and sprayed onto a test card that gets checked in daylight before masking begins. Doing the first half remotely just means that step is the only one left, and the car sits here for the repair rather than for the planning.

Refinish, warranty, and a tow if you need one
The refinish itself follows the sequence every vehicle gets: prep back to sound material, primer and sealer where metal is exposed, basecoat across the full panel, blend into the neighbors, then clear across the whole area in a downdraft booth. Nothing about a longer drive changes the process at the panel — the only thing distance changes is how much we do before you show up.
The finished paint is warranted for as long as you own the vehicle, in writing with your estimate, and we accept every insurance company if the work is part of a claim. If the car is not drivable, tell us where it is and the tow gets arranged. A half-hour drive is not something to attempt on a vehicle that should be riding on a truck. Rosemount pickups are usually set up over the phone in a single call.
